Hemorrhage Cause of J. Groom Death

James Groom, widely known newspaper man of the bay region, died Tuesday on a Northwestern Pacific suburban train near Sausalito. Death is believed to have been caused by a cerebral hemorrhage. He was 43 years of age. Groom was the son of James Groom, who was deputy county clerk in San Francisco for many years and who was at one time as associate of James W. Coffroth, sports promoter and manager of the race track at Tijuana. Groom is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Groom of Larkspur, where the dead man made his home. The body was taken to the Northwestern Pacific emergency hospital at Sausalito.
