Myrtle V. Barron
Myrtle Violet Barron, a longtime Petaluma resident, died Sunday at a local hospital after a sudden illness. She was 83.
A native of Michigan, she was reared there and moved to Petaluma in 1920. She had been a homemaker all her adult life.
Mrs. Barron was a member of the United Methodist Church of Petaluma.
She is survived by a son, James L. Barron of Santa Rosa; a daughter, Bettye Nelson of Petaluma; two brothers, Thomas Langdon Sr. of Cotati and Russell Langdon of Petaluma; a sister, Edith Wakevainen of Ramsay, Mich.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Another daughter, Faye Chanda, preceded her in death.
A funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Parent Funeral Chapel, Petaluma. Private burial will be at Cypress Hill Memorial Park.
