JOSEPH GAMBONI
Yesterday after a lingering illness, Joseph Gamboni, 85-year-old Olema rancher, died at his home in the Northern Marin rural community. Funeral services will be conducted for the well-known Marin resident at 2 p.m. tomorrow from Keaton’s Mortuary in San Rafael.
Gamboni came to Olema approximately 65 years ago, as a young ranch hand from Switzerland. He settled there and for many years operated a dairy farm. It was not until a few years ago that he retired.
A member of the Marin Lodge F. and A. M., the long time resident of the county will be accorded Masonic rites by his fellow lodgemen. In addition to the Masons, he was also a member of the Olema Grove No. 139, U. A. O. D.
He was the husband of the late Mary A. Gamboni, father of the late Joseph and Albert Gamboni, grandfather of Rita, Eleanor, Walter Jr., Milton and Emmett Gamboni and the great grandfather of Dona Marie Gamboni.
