ATTORNEY ROBERT HARRISON PASSES AWAY
Robert Harrison, one of the ablest and most highly esteemed attorneys on the Pacific Coast and for over 20 years a resident of Sausalito, passed away at his home on Monday afternoon a few minutes before four o’clock, after several months illness.
The funeral services will be held this afternoon at Gray’s mortuary chapel at two and the body will be laid away in Cypress Lawn cemetery where his beloved wife was buried seven years ago.
Mr. Harrison was a native of Ireland, aged 72 years, and leaves a sister, Rebecca Harrison, in Brooklyn.
Mr. Harrison was an old resident of California and through his fondness for hunting and through being called to different parts of the state on legal business, he was well acquainted with California, and made friends throughout the state.
He was a very able lawyer, thoroughly grounded in law, and was highly esteemed by all the judges. He was a great student of law, always ready to help the young lawyer who was not afraid to work. He was attorney for the Sausalito Land and Ferry Co. and the Sausalito Building and Loan Society up to the time of his death. He was attorney in some very large cases.
The death of his wife seven years ago, although expected, was a severe shock to him.
There was a daily beauty about his life which won every heart. He seemed to gain confidence when he seemed least to seek it.
