John B. Goethals, Passes at Yolanda

John B. Goethals, aged 81, of Yolanda, died Sunday. He was a retired musician and had been making his home with his niece, Mrs. Barbara Livingston. A native of France, Mr. Goethals came to America when a young man. He leaves three sons and a daughter, John B., Leo and Manny Goethals, and Mrs. Marie Duffy, the latter of Sacramento.

Funeral service was held on Tuesday forenoon from the Guy W. Jenness Chapel, San Anselmo, thence to St. Anselm’s Church, where a requiem mass was said for the repose of his soul. Burial was at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Monday evening at 8 o’clock a rosary was said at the Jenness Chapel.
