MARIAN HELMS
Retired bookkeeper

Marian McGovern Helms of San Rafael died of cancer Saturday. She was 79.

She was born in San Francisco and graduated from the University of California, Berkeley. She was a retired bookkeeper.

She is survived by two daughters, Susan Elaine Kaufman of Carmel and Joan Verdi of San Francisco, and three grandchildren.

No services will be held.

Memorial contributions may be sent to Guide Dogs for the Blind or Hospice of Marin.
