Prof. Ashman, The “Mosquito Man” Dead

Professor E. H. Ashman, deputy Health Officer of this city, died at Dr. Buke’s (sic) Sanitarium in Sonoma county one day last week. Deceased came her from Berkeley about a year ago at the request of the San Rafael Improvement Club and took charge of the campaign against the mosquitoes. Professor Ashman made a deep study of the mosquito problem and his work done here was of a highly scientific character. He always maintained that sustained and intelligent effort would exterminate the pests.
