Funeral Services For Mrs. Meta Gowdy

Family services were held for Mrs. Meta Gowdy, 346 Laverne, on Wednesday at the Chapel of the chimes in Santa Rosa, Russell & Gooch, of Mill Valley, being the funeral directors. Her death occurred on Monday.

Mrs. Gowdy, a native of Boston, aged 83, had lived in Marin for 21 years. She is survived by her husband, Leander L. Gowdy, a son and four daughters, Mrs. Florence Bateson of Fullerton, Mrs. Mabel McCann and Mrs. Edna Shepherd, both of Shelton, Washington, Arthur S. Gowdy of Santa Rosa, and Miss Elsie Gowdy of Mill Valley. She was the mother of the late George Gowdy and Mrs. Evalyn Albreht.
