Everett Jensen
Former Fairfax resident
Everett John Jensen, a longtime Fairfax resident, died March 20 after suffering a stroke. He was 87.
Mr. Jensen was born in West Branch, Iowa and graduated from Iowa State University. He worked for the U.S. Forest Service for 37 years.
He was a member of the Fairfax Community Church, the Marin Conservation League, the Marin Agricultural Land Trust, and the FSX Club. He enjoyed backpacking and hiking as well as reading.
Mr. Jensen is survived by his wife, Fay Jensen; sons Lyle Jensen of Pendleton, Ore., Curtis Jensen of Alameda and Arne Jensen of Wellesley, Mass; daughter, Eleanor Jensen of Fairfax; sister, Ina Guthrie of Waukesha, Wis.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A celebration of his life is Wednesday at the home of James and Eleanor Harvey, 10 Meadow Way, Fairfax from 3 to 7 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Marin Agricultural Land Trust in Point Reyes.
