Donald Salopek

Private funeral was held today for Donald A. Salopek of San Rafael at Blessed Sacrament Church, Santa Venetia.

Salopek, of 325 Corrillo Drive, died Saturday in a local hospital after a long illness. He was 50.

A native of San Francisco, he had lived in Marin County for 23 years. He was a retired plumber.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia, of the family home, two daughters, Martha Channell of Elmira, Ore., and Julie Hansen of West Lynn, Ore., five sons, David Salopek of Novato and Mark, Don, Christopher and Mathew Salopek, all of the family home, and two grandchildren.
