Werner Lortz

Werner Lortz, a longtime Woodacre resident, died Wednesday, July 1, 1987, at a friend’s home in Greenbrae following a short illness. He was 57.

He was born in Mannheim, Germany, and came to Canada in 1955. He moved to the Bay Area about 10 years later and had lived in Woodacre since 1970.

He worked as an operating engineer for Marin Sanitary Service.

He is survived by a son, Brandon Lortz of Woodacre, and a friend, Alice Webb of Greenbrae.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery in San Rafael.

Donations are preferred to Hospice of Marin, 77 Mark Drive, San Rafael, 94903.
