Abraham Ward, a pioneer of Sonoma and Marin counties, died at Petaluma on the 4th. He was 82 years of age and a native of England. In 1850 he came to California, and in April, 1853, he settled in Marin county. In 1858 he was elected as supervisor of Marin county, filling the position with honor. He has children living: Mrs. H. Smith of Petaluma, James Ward of Mendocino county, Abraham Ward of Santa Maria, and John Ward of San Antonio.
