IRENE GORDON

Irene R. Gordon, a long-time resident of Sacramento, died in a Marin County convalescent hospital yesterday after a long illness. She was 77.

She came to Marin five years ago to be closer to her family. She has been in a hospital or convalescent home all her time here.

She was the widow of Proctor A. Gordon, who died May 15, 1953. He was a retired telephone company worker.

Mrs. Gordon was a native of California.

She leaves a daughter, Mrs. M. J. Coulee (sic) of Mill Valley; two grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Mass will be offered in Sacramento Thursday. Rosary will be recited there tomorrow. Time of the rosary and time and place of the Mass had not been set today. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Sacramento.

Harry M. Williams Mortuary, San Rafael, made local arrangements.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds information: she was the grandmother of Paul R. Coutlee of San Anselmo and John G. Coutlee of Oxnard, California; great-grandmother of Michele, Craig and Claire Ann Coutlee.
