Death in Mill Valley

Mrs. Catherine McCarty, a relict of Daniel McCarty and mother of Mrs. W. S. Leake and the late E. J. McCarty, died in Mill Valley last Sunday morning. Mrs. McCarty had reached the advanced age of 81 years when she was seized with a sudden illness that terminated fatally. She was in full possession of her mental faculties up to the last hour. Mrs. McCarty was born in Mallow county, Wicklow, Ireland. She resided in Sacramento for a number of years and many friends in the Capitol City and throughout the State will mourn her demise. Her charitable deeds will be remembered by many. The remains were taken to Sacramento for burial.
