Joseph De Costa, Dairyman, Passes
Joseph De Costa, 63, milk pasteurizer on the Freitas ranch for seven years, was summoned at a local hospital Friday night following a month’s illness.
He was a native of the Azores Islands and had resided on Fifth St., San Rafael.
De Costa leaves his widow, Mrs. Mary De Costa, a stepson, Edward J. Gabriel; four sisters and brothers, Mary Souza, Mariana Thomas, Palmeria Peira and August De Costa.
Funeral services for the deceased were held in the chapel of Keaton and Dusel Monday morning, and a requiem mass was said in St. Raphael’s Church. Interment was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
