Son Of Former San Anselmo Man Killed
Malcolm Duncan Meets Death In Auto Accident

Malcolm C. Duncan, ten-year-old son of the Rev. and Mrs. C. L. Duncan, former San Anselmo residents, was fatally injured on Sunday evening when the car in which the Duncan family was riding was struck by another car in Richmond and was overturned, pinning the boy underneath. He died shortly after reaching the Abbott Emergency Hospital in Richmond.

Mr. and Mrs. Duncan and their two sons were returning to their home in Oakland from San Anselmo, where Mr. Duncan had attended a county gathering of Marin county Sunday school superintendents. They left San Anselmo at 7:15 and at 8 o’clock the accident occurred.

R. E. Segain, 611 Chanslor street, Richmond, driver of the other car, was booked at the Richmond police station on a technical charge of manslaughter.

Young Malcolm Duncan was born in San Anselmo. The family is well known in Marin county, as Mr. Duncan has attended the San Francisco Theological Seminary at different times and has filled the pulpit at the First Presbyterian Church there.
