JULIA FALK
Private funeral for Julia M. Falk, former San Rafael and San Anselmo resident, has been held in Berkeley.
Mrs. Falk, 82, died Sunday in a local hospital after a long illness.
A native of Kansas, she moved to Los Angeles and then to San Francisco in the early 1930s. She worked for the Dutchess Catering Service and ran a cafeteria for the Carlisle Co. in San Francisco for many years. After she moved to San Rafael in 1955, she continued to cater private parties.
Her husband, the late August Falk, was a retired printer.
She was a member of Seal Rock Chapter of Order of Eastern Star.
She is survived by a daughter, Marguerite Downer of Catalina Island; three grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Inurnment was in Mount Tamalpais Cemetery, San Rafael.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds information: she died in Kentfield; she was the grandmother of Everett J. Farey, Lila Lee Mears and Nancy Led Downer.
