Death Calls Alice Flores
After a long struggle, Alice Mary C. Flores, the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Manuel C. Flores, passed away at her home in Sausalito on Wednesday evening. The funeral will take place from her home at 9 this Saturday morning and a solemn requiem mass will be said for the repose of her soul at St. Mary’s Catholic church at 10 a.m. The remains will be laid away in Fernwood cemetery.
She was born in Sausalito a little over 15 years ago, grew up and attended the public schools. During her school days her sweet face and winsome way won the hearts of both teacher and pupils. She was awarded a medal for being one of the Sausalito team that won the Maypole dance at Kentfield. When her classmates heard of her death they came to the saddened home bringing in token of loving remembrance, rare white flowers, emblems of the pure and gentle spirit, now safe with Him who “carries the lambs to His bosom.”
