JOSEPH MONTELEONE
San Rafael resident
Joseph Theodore Monteleone of San Rafael died Aug. 16 in San Rafael. He was 85.
Mr. Monteleone was born in Beaumont, La., and lived in San Francisco before settling in San Rafael in 1958.
He was a veteran of World War II and worked for the U.S. Post Office and as a Realtor. He was a member of the Sons of Italy and the American Legion.
He enjoyed travel and dancing.
He is survived by his wife, Yolanda Monteleone of San Rafael; a daughter, Barbara Riely of San Rafael; a son, Donald Monteleone of San Rafael; a stepdaughter, Lucille Newman of San Rafael; two stepsons, Alan Milisci of San Jose and Peter Milisci of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; two brothers, Ignacious Monteleone of Fairfield and Maurice Monteleone of Joplin, Mo.; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Sept. 10 at St. Isabella’s Church in San Rafael.
Contributions are preferred to the Alzheimer’s Association.
