Willard Sutton Dies at Black Point

After long and patient suffering from a chronic stomach trouble, Mr. Willard P. Sutton passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning November 24, at his home in Black Point.

Mr. Sutton was well and favorably known in this community where he resided with his family and conducted a poultry ranch, coming here from Plumas County some 5 years ago. The deceased was 54 years of age, and leaves a loving wife and two grown sons.

Thursday afternoon the funeral took place, Dr. Sawyer’s Funeral Parlors having charge of the remains which were laid to rest in Novato Cemetery.

Services were conducted at the home and also at the Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Fiske, assisted by the church choir. A large concourse of neighbors and friends wee in attendance and followed the remains to their last resting place.

The pall bearers were: Hon. J. W. Atherton, A. D. Scott, F. S. Hamilton, W. Cain, F. Hettrick and J. D. Burdick.

The bereaved family have the sympathy of all in this their hour of sorrow. … Novato Banner
