Joaquin Pareira Passes Away
Joaquin Pareira, an old and respected resident living at Alameda Point, passed away last Saturday and was buried in Fernwood Cemetery on Wednesday.

A large number attended the funeral and heard the mass offered up for the repose of his soul in the Catholic Church by Rev. Father Santandreu assisted by Roy. Fathers Walsh, Collopy, Leal and Pareira. Rev. Father Pareira said prayers at the grave.

Since the death of his son Joseph, eighteen months ago, Mr. Pareira became broken hearted and slowly pined away. He was born in St. George, Azore Islands, 58 years ago and came to Marin County In 1872 and engaged In dairying. By his genial and charitable ways he made many warm friends who condole with his daughter, Mrs. M. G. Roza, in her sad affliction.
