Death of W. D. Bent
Last week we announced the death of W. D. Dent (the name is Bent) of Sausalito. The News in speaking of him says:
"Mr. Bent was a representative citizen, one who always stood for right and the uplift of t he community. He was modest but always a dependable friend. He invariably was a good neighbor and there was no happier family circle in the land than his. There was a daily beauty about his life which won every heart. In temperament he was mild, conciliatory and candid and yet remarkable for uncompromising firmness. He gained confidence when he seemed least to seek it.
"Mr. Bent came to Sausalito about a quarter of a century ago and at the time of his demise was a member of the printing firm of Bent & Meyerdiercks of San Francisco. He was a member of Marin Lodge of Masons and Mill Valley Chapter Royal Arch Masons."
The funeral was conducted on Saturday afternoon by Marin Masonic Lodge of San Rafael.
