ELIZABETH W. V. PARKER
San Rafael native
Elizabeth White Vaning Parker, a lifelong resident of San Rafael, died Wednesday, July 25, 1990, at home. She was 82.
She was born in San Rafael where her family had settled in the 1880s.
Mrs. Parker worked for Marin County, serving as secretary to the superintendent of what was known as the county home.
She was a member of the retired Marin County Employees Association and the Rebekah Lodge, Sebastopol chapter.
Mrs. Parker loved cats and was known for taking in strays.
Her husband, Harry Parker, died in 1971. He was a San Rafael fire fighter.
She has no immediate survivors.
A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Keaton’s Mortuary in San Rafael. Burial will be at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery in San Rafael.
