Former San Rafael Resident Passes
Joseph Mazeau, a former San Rafael boy, passed away Tuesday. He with his family lived in a story and a half house across from the gas house some fifty years ago, the house is still standing. The house belonged to his aunt, the late Jane LaPage. Mrs. LaPage also owned the property on which Albert’s Department Store now stands.
Mazeau attended the grammar school here leaving town 40 years ago. He was a frequent visitor here in the last three or four years where he came to view the scenes of his boyhood and call on the few remaining acquaintances of his school days, the vast majority of whom have disappeared.
