Sudden Death of James V. Long
James V. Long, ex-postmaster of the city of Petaluma, and ex-deputy county assessor of Sonoma, one of the best known and most highly esteemed pioneers of Petaluma, passed away suddenly Monday at the Long ranch, at Crown station just north of Petaluma.
Death was due to an attack of heart trouble, he having been for some time afflicted with that trouble but being up and around as usual up to the time of his death.
