Ira Hobson Dies After Long Illness
Ira Hobson of 541 Ethel avenue, Mill Valley, died yesterday after a lengthy illness. A retired railway conductor, he was 70 years old.
A native of Oregon, he had lived in Mill Valley for the past 32 years, and was employed by the Northwestern Pacific Railroad before his retirement.
He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Conductors, Lodge 532, and mill Valley Lodge 356, F&AM.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Edna, of Mill Valley; a son, Clarence, now teaching in Redding, and a daughter, Mildred Milani of Tiburon.
Funeral services under auspices of the local Masonic lodge will be held at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow at Russell and Gooch Memorial Chapels, Mill Valley. Inurnment will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Oakland.
