DONALD EARL YODER

Private services were held for Donald Earl Yoder, a longtime Marin resident. Mr. Yoder, who was 71, died Thursday at his home in San Rafael after an illness.

He had worked as a civil engineer for Earl and Wright consulting engineers in San Francisco.

Mr. Yoder was born in San Francisco, but spent most of his life in Marin. He moved to San Rafael as a child and commuted to Tamalpais High School on the train.

He was a graduate of Tamalpais High and the University of California at Berkeley.

He was past president of the Ross Valley Camera Club and Marin County Bowling Association. He also was a member of Sons in Retirement, Branch 22 in San Rafael.

Survivors are his wife, Jane; a daughter, Marsha Yoder of San Rafael; and a son, Ronald Yoder of Los Angeles.

Burial will be at Cypress Hill Cemetery in Petaluma.

The family prefers memorial contributions to the American Heart Association.
