GORDON BECHTOLD
Graveside funeral for Lt. Gordon A. Bechtold of the California Highway Patrol and former Marin County resident, will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery, San Rafael.
Bechtold died Sunday at his home in Susanville, Lassen County. He was 45.
He was born in Buffalo, N.Y. and spent his boyhood there. He moved with his family to Marin County and graduated from the College of Marin. He was in the insurance business and for the past 16 years, has been with the California Highway Patrol. He was stationed in Marin County; Tahoe, Placer County; Crescent City, Del Norte County and was in command of the Susanville office of the patrol at the time of his death. He was a veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Susan; a daughter, Jennifer, and a son, Geoffrey Bechtold, all of Crescent City; a sister, Kristiana Kululman of Rohnert Park; three brothers, Kenneth Bechtold of Fullerton, Los Angeles County; Fred Bechtold of Petalum and Tim Bechtold of San Rafael and his father, George Bechtold of San Rafael.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds that he was also the son of the late Dorothy P. Bechtold.
