Death of W.F. Dougherty
On Friday morning, October 3, W.F. Dougherty, City Assessor, died at Casa Grande, Arizona, where he had gone only a few days before for the benefit of his health. He had been a resident of San Rafael for 25 or 30 years, and reared a family here. His widow and 5 children survive him. Two of them are married - Mrs. Marchie Sutton of Novato, and Mrs. Mildred Speidel of Ukiah, the others reside at home - Sherman W., Ellsworth, and Lulu.
Mr. Dougherty was 57 years of age and during his residence here had filled the position of City Assessor several years and for some time was Deputy County Clerk.
