LOUIS M. NICKLE

Louis M. Nickle of Corte Madera, a Marin resident for about 50 years, died Saturday at a local convalescent hospital following a long illness. He was 81.

Nickle was a native of Minnesota and moved to Washington state as a young man. He moved to Marin in the late 1920s and operated a barbershop in the county for about 40 years. He first operated the San Anselmo barbershop and later moved the shop to the Bon Air shopping center in Greenbrae. He retired in 1972.

He is survived by his wife, Rosalie Nickle; a son, Robert Nickle of Los Angeles; two sisters, Catherine Schulstad and Margaret Neagle, both of Washington; 16 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family prefers memorial donations to the American Cancer Society.
