Pure and Noble Life Closed

After a painful illness, Mrs. Joseph Bloom, of Olema, passed away last Friday morning at the French Hospital in San Francisco, and the expressions of sorrow throughout the whole community were many. Mrs. Bloom was a noble woman, and all who knew her were her friends. She was possessed of that disposition which strongly cements the bonds of friendship with a love and affection which are never broken.

No life so good as hers can close without leaving a profound sorrow among the living; no home can lose such a guiding star of motherly love without feeling the deepest and fullest measure of grief.

There was no thought that death would so soon seal the lips of that devoted wife and mother. The grief stricken husband, daughters and sons have the sympathy of the entire community.

Mrs. Theresa Jos. Bloom was a native of Switzerland, aged 53 year. Her maiden name was Baljarim. In 1875, she was wedded to Mr. Joseph Bloom.
