Mrs. Von Husen’s Death Is Shock To Community

The death of Mrs. Caroline Von Husen in Dante’s Sanitarium today was a shock to the community, where she had lived for many years, and where she had earned the affection of all who came in contact with her. Although she had been very ill ever since an operation for appendicitis two weeks ago, her death was unexpected.

She was a past matron of the San Rafael Chapter of the Eastern Star and was a prominent member of the San Rafael Improvement Club. She entertained extensively and was active in the social life both in Marin County and San Francisco.

Mr. and Mrs. Von Husen celebrated their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary two years ago in June at an elaborate affair at Paloma Inn. The marriage of her eldest daughter, Anita, to Dr. Edward Liston took place at t he same time. She is survived by her husband, William Von Husen, for many years a San Rafael business man, her daughters, Mrs. Liston and Miss Margaret Von Husen, and a son, Harold Von Husen. She was a native of California.

The funeral arrangements have not yet been made.
