Mabel H. Dexter Dies In Hospital
Mrs. Mabel H. Dexter of San Francisco, grandmother of Oakley W. Dexter who is owner of Dexter’s TV in Larkspur, died early today at 84 in a local hospital after a brief illness.
A member of a pioneer San Francisco family, Mrs. Dexter had been a summer resident of Larkspur since 1908. For the past year, she had been living at a convalescent home in Tiburon.
Besides her grandson, she is survived by a granddaughter of Spokane, Wash., and by five great-grandchildren.
She was a past president of the Pioneering Women’s Assn. of San Francisco, and a member of the Literary Outlook Club, the California Club, the Women’s City Club and the Corona Club, all of San Francisco, and the Redwoods Presbyterian Church of Larkspur.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Halsted and Co., San Francisco. Interment will be at the San Francisco Columbarium.
