Private Service To Blast Victim
The funeral of Walter Niven, 27, who died from injuries received when a boiler used to heat the plant houses at the Nivens Nursery in Larkspur exploded Tuesday morning, was held privately Monday from the parlors of Keatin (sic) & Dusel.
Niven died Friday at the Ross General Hospital. He had been badly burned about the face, head and chest and his arm was so badly fractured that it was amputated Friday morning. He died that afternoon.
Niven was a native of California. He is survived by his mother and father, James and Ada Niven; his brother George and two sisters, Mrs. Larry Barton and Mrs. Roy Hodge.
