Geo. W. Jensen, Well Known Ranchman, Passes in Petaluma
George W. Jensen, 48 years of age, and well known in Marin and Sonoma counties, died in Petaluma Monday morning following an illness of but a few days from pneumonia.
Mr. Jensen was born in Tomales. Besides his mother with whom he had resided, the deceased is survived by three brothers. They are Achille K. Jensen, San Francisco; Frank L. Jensen, Tomales; Arnold W. Jensen, Benicia.
Mr. Jensen was the son of the late Matt Jensen, and brother of the late Mattie M. Jensen, Elvin G. Jensen and Dollie M. Jensen. The family for many years operated a ranch in the Tomales area. Twelve years ago they moved from there to Petaluma, where Mr. Jensen was employed by the Poultry Producers’ association.
At the outbreak of the World War, Jensen enlisted for service and later affiliated with the Petaluma Post of the American Legion. He was also a member of the Warehousemen’s Union.
The funeral was held Wednesday from the Mount chapel, Petaluma, and interment was in the family plot at the Tomales cemetery.
