LITTLE, John T. "Jack", 76, of Waldport, passed away September 15, 2001.
John T. "Jack" Little
Age 76, of Waldport died after a long illness on September 15, 2001 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Corvallis. He was born February 27, 1925 in Everett, Washington and grew up in the State of Washington. He graduated from Elma High School in Elma, Washington in 1943. He served in the United States Navy from 1943 to 1946. He married Josephine Bardera shortly after getting out of the Navy. In 1948, he began a career with the United States Postal Service in Mill Valley, California. In 1961, he was appointed Postmaster of the Mill Valley Post Office, a position he held until 1971. During his early retirement years, he traveled extensively with his wife, until her death in 1985. He married Connie Brotherton in Reno, Nevada in 1985. He and his wife settled in Newport, Oregon before moving to the Rogue Valley. He had lived in Waldport for the past year. He was a member of the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and served as scout master for the Boy Scouts. His wife, Connie, preceded him in death. Survivors include three stepsons; numerous cousins in Washington; and nine grandchildren in the Rogue Valley area.
