William "Bill" Ford
Was loved by all who knew him and his million dollar smile. His love for his family, friends and zest for life were unsurpassed. He died at the age of 77 on Thursday evening, October 11, 2001 as a result of complications following surgery. Ford was a WWII veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy between 1943 and 1946. He worked as a hod carrier in Marin and Sonoma Counties until his retirement in 1981. He moved to Lake County from Novato in 1987, where he lived until his death with his loving wife of 56 years, Luella. He served as a Trustee in the Lakeport Elks Lodge and was active in the St. Mary's Catholic Church. He is also survived by two daughters, Linda Ventura and Sharon Renzo, their husbands, Jim and Tony, four grandchildren, Cori Nichols, Kristina Ventura, Byran Ventura and Clayton Renzo, and one great-grandson, Ashton Kyle Nichols. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 19 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Lakeport. The family prefers that memorial contributions be made to the Clearlake Elks Lodge No. 2299 Purple Pig.
