MYERS, Jessie, 89, passed away in Petaluma on October 6, 2001. Adobe Creek/ Cheda & Lyons, Petaluma, 707-789-9000; Steurernol & McLaren in Prudenville, Michigan.
Jessie Myers
Died in Petaluma on October 6, 2001 at the age of 89 of acute leukemia. She was born in Montreal and came to Detroit in 1919, where she helped support the family as a teenage by giving piano lessons during the Depression. Trained as a classical pianist, she preferred accompanying choral groups and playing for happy hours and sing-alongs. She is survived by daughters, Janet Russell of Penngrove and Sally Voorheis of Albuquerque, and a son, Ronald Myers of Miami. She was laid to rest near her parents in Michigan.
