MEHDI ZIANI

Age 58. A former Marin County resident. Passed away on March 20, 2001 in Rabat, Morocco. He came to San Francisco in 1970. He and his brother Said were culinary pioneers establishing the popular Mamounia Moroccan Restaurant.

He is survived by his son Omar and three loving daughters Souad, Malika, and Ghita Ziani and granddaughters Sophia and Nadia. He will be missed by family and friends. He will always be remembered for his generosity and love of life.
