ALICE O’HARA WEVANG
Active volunteer
Alice O’Hara Wevang of Novato died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 1990 at her home. She was 74.
Mrs. Wevang was born in Massachusetts. Thirty years ago, she moved from Boston to Mill Valley, where she lived 18 years before moving to Novato.
She worked for most of her life in the secretarial field, both as a teacher and as a secretary. She taught many years ago at Hansell Business College and later worked as a secretary at the Marin County Civic Center.
She was an active volunteer, giving time to such organizations as the Novato Human Needs Center and The Redwoods retirement complex in Mill Valley.
She is survived by two brothers, John F. O’Hara and Paul E. O’Hara, both of Massachusetts. Her husband, Adolph Wevang, one sister and two brothers died previously.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 5 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Church in Novato. Inurnment was private.
Arrangements were by Keaton’s Mortuary in San Rafael.
Memorial donations are preferred to the Hospice of Marin.
