ROBERT RUSSELL

Robert Earl Russell, 69, of 140 Deer Hollow, died Saturday in a local hospital after a long illness.

A native of Oswego, Kan., he had lived in California for 45 years and in Marin County for nine years. He was a retired foreman of construction and maintenance for the Army at Fort McArthur, Los Angeles County. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of Camp 440 of the Woodsmen of the World of Long Beach.

Surviving are his wife, Anna, a daughter, Mrs. Arline Palmer of San Anselmo; a brother, Ralph D. Russell of Long Beach, and two grandchildren.

Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Harry M. Williams Mortuary, San Rafael. Burial will be in Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds that he was the grandfather of Anna Marie Palmer of Fairfax and Edgar F. Palmer Jr., United States Naval Training Center, San Diego.
