RICHARD D. POPPE
Richard D. Poppe of Forest Knolls died unexpectedly this morning in the emergency room of Kaiser Hospital in Terra Linda. He was 55. Funeral arrangements are pending at the Chapel of the Hills mortuary in San Anselmo.

RICHARD D. POPPE
A funeral for Richard D. Poppe of Forest Knolls, a chemistry teacher at Terra Linda High School, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the San Rafael Ward of the Latter-day Saints in Santa Venetia.
Poppe, 55, died Friday at Marin General Hospital.
He had been a teacher at the high school for 19 years and previously taught at Analy High School in Sebastopol.
Poppe was a native of San Francisco who had lived in Forest Knolls since 1960. He served as president of the San Geronimo Valley Association.
He was a member of the San Rafael Ward of the Church of Latter-day Saints.
Surviving are his wife, Peggy Poppe of Forest Knolls; four sons, Daniel Poppe of Bountiful, Utah, and David, James and Richard Poppe, all of Forest Knolls; two brothers, James Poppe of Forest Knolls and Paul Poppe of Sacramento; his mother, Marie Poppe of Forest Knolls; and one grandchild.
Burial will be at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery, San Rafael.

A Death Notice in the May 29th paper adds that he was the grandfather of Dawn Michelle Poppe.
