JOHN HOLM
Funeral was held yesterday in Roseau, Minn. for John M. Holm, a 30-year Marin County resident. Holm, 91, died Friday at a local hospital after a long illness.
A native of Sweden, he came to the United States with his family in 1883, settling in Roseau, where he served on the village council and school board. He was a watchmaker and jeweler there for 40 years before moving to Marin County in the early 1940s where he lived with a daughter, Gertrude Sandford, in Corte Madera. For the past three years he lived at Alexander’s Haven Rest Home in Mill Valley.
He is also survived by another daughter, Isabel Norris of Sunnyvale; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A Death Notice in the same paper gives the names of his grandchildren: Robert Norris, Sammie Dunn, and Jon Sandford. He was a member of Constantine Commandery No. 20, Knights Templar of Crookston, Minn. Private family services were held at Keaton’s Mortuary, 1022 E Street, San Rafael.
