ARTHUR GIFFORD
Private funeral for Arthur S. Gifford, 85, of San Rafael was held today at the Harry M. Williams Mortuary, San Rafael.
Gifford, a self-employed hardware manufacturers representative for about 45 years, died Sunday in a local hospital after a short illness.
Born in Asuchnet, Mass., he had lived in California 70 years and in Marin County for 25 years, last residing with his daughter, Elizabeth Nathan at 60 Locksly Lane.
He retired about 14 years ago.
Gifford is survived by another daughter, Cathryn Payton of Los Angeles as well as four grandchildren.
Inurnment will be private.
