HATTIE M. HUNTER
Friends in Marin have learned of the death of Hattie M. Hunter, 94-year-old former Fairfax resident, who died in Santa Rosa April 4.
Mrs. Hunter lived in Marin County about 30 years before going with her husband, Levi, to live with their daughter in Santa Rosa two years ago.
She was a native of Kentucky and lived in Nebraska many years before moving to Marin.
She was a practical nurse and at one time operated a rest home at her own home.
Mrs. Hunter was known for her garden in Fairfax on Cypress Drive and often shared her flowers with friends and neighbors.
She also volunteered with the Sunny Hills Bargain Box and was active in the Fairfax Baptist Church.
She was active in senior citizens groups and was a charter member of the Funsters in Corte Madera.
Surviving are her husband, Levi L. Hunter of Santa Rosa; two daughters, Thelma Hyet of Santa Rosa and Vivian Crandell of Nebraska; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Burial was in Nebraska.
