Tomales Woman Answers Call Of Death
Mrs. Mary Ellen Bassett, one of the pioneer residents of Tomales, passed away at her home there last Sunday evening after an illness of six months. She was 66 years and 7 months of age. She had resided nearly all her life in Marin county, and was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bailey, who also made their home in this county.
She leaves to mourn her her children, Mrs. Hattie Winn Sales and Thomas R. Bassett, of Tomales, and Henry Bassett, of Fallon. Her husband, Thomas Bassett, passed away several years ago. The funeral, which was largely attended, was held Wednesday.
