JOSEPHINE E. ELKINGTON

Private funeral services for Josephine E. Elkington, 84, a 24-year resident of Sausalito, will be held at Russell and Gooch Funeral Chapel in Mill Valley.

Mrs. Elkington died in a San Francisco hospital Sunday.

She was a homemaker. Born in Kansas, she moved as a child to Yuba City, Sutter County, with her family. She later moved to San Francisco as a young woman where she met and married her late husband, George. The couple moved to Sausalito in 1954.

Surviving are three sons, Robert W. Elkington of San Francisco, Kenneth A. Elkington of Sausalito and George J. Elkington Jr. of Novato; and seven grandchildren.

Burial will be in the Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno. The family prefers memorial gifts to the Fourth Church of Christ Scientist, 300 Funston Ave., San Francisco.

[A Death Notice in the same paper adds that she was the wife of the late George J. Elkington Sr.]
