Friends Pay Final Tribute to Memory Of Caroline Inman

Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon for Mrs. Caroline Inman, member of a pioneer family, and widow of the late Pratt C. Inman. A large gathering of friends, shocked and saddened by her sudden death, were in attendance at the Keaton Chapel, where Rev. J. J. Canoles conducted the last rites.

Mrs. Inman was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Johannes Petersen of San Rafael. She was a native of this city and lived her entire life here.

Her marriage to Mr. Inman, then a prominent local druggist, was an interesting and felicitous occasion in Marin social circles in the late 90s.

Mr. and Mrs. Inman were active and popular in the civic and social life of t he community during their long life together, and since the death of her husband about ten years ago, Mrs. Inman has maintained a continued interest and participation in activities of the Improvement Club, Rebeccas, Eastern Star and numerous social organizations.

Though in vigorous good health all her life, she suffered a slight heart attack that suddenly became acute and she died in her sleep last Thursday night.

Surviving are a son, Everett Inman, now in the Service, and stationed in Texas; a brother, P. Henry Petersen of Crockett, Cal., and a sister, Miss Olivia Petersen of San Rafael.

Interment was at Tamalpais Cemetery.
