NEIL MARTIN

Neil Martin of Mill Valley, a retired Marin building contractor, died today at Marin General Hospital after a six-month illness. He was 77.

Mr. Martin was born in Alabama. He started building in Marin in the early 1940s.

His projects included many of the homes in Tamalpais Valley. Mr. Martin in 1955 built what was then known as the Shoreline Market there, the biggest store in Marin County at the time.

He is survived by a daughter, Nina (?) Martin of San Rafael.

Private entombment services will be held at the Mount Tamalpais Mortuary and Cemetery in San Rafael.

The family prefers memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Marin.
