Wade Cyrus Dies At Local Hospital
Wade Cyrus, 66, a resident of San Rafael for the past 28 years, died at a local hospital yesterday after a long illness.
A retired employee of the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Co., he made his home at 1305 Fifth avenue with his wife, Hannah Cyrus.
Cyrus was born in Oregon of a pioneer family which lost several members in the group which became snowbound in the Donner Pass.
He was a life member of the George S. Ladd chapter, Telephone Pioneers of America and a member of Santa Rosa Lodge No. 57 F&AM.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a sister, Mrs. Eulelia Arnold, a brother, Arlon Cyrus, and six nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the Harry M. Williams Mortuary, San Rafael. Burial will be at Albany, Ore.
